Black lake
In order to reach this lake you need a boat or a dinghy. Leaving from Limni Kerì town south of the island, follow the coast to the right and pass through the promontory of Marathia Cape; the beaches are wonderful and there are many caves to visit with a boat or swimming. The adventure will be to find, among those cave, the one that is ending in a small internal lake… If you manage to find this inlet you have to leave someone taking care of the dinghy, go down and walk about 10 metres inside the cave. There you’ll notice that there will be just water. Without light in this area the water looks black and doesn’t invite to dive; for the more courageous that want to swim they will realize that the lake isn’t that small after all and looking underwater you can see the sunlight entering from under the rock making light games in the water. Take a torch with you if you want to see something!!!
