The natural environment of the island with its massive cliffs and huge and green flat lands, offers the tourist the opportunity to choose among many kinds of beaches.
In Zakynthos you can visit bays with very fine sand, accessible only by sea, where you can find peace and relaxation even in mid August and rocky bays very good for the snorkeling lovers.

It was associated for each beach a picture and an icon defining the typology:
Sand beaches where it is possible to rent a deckchair and a sunshade and to rest sunbathing. This kind of beach is the most widespread in the Southern part of the island and Eastern coast.
  Beaches with pebbles and fiords which are very good for the snorkeling lovers. Not always with facilities for the tourist; they are in the Northern part of the island.
  Beaches with tourist facilities where you can find water sports and where you can rent windsurfs and water motorcycles.
Generally speaking they are sand beaches very crowded and huge.
